Disposable masks, also called surgical masks, are most commonly used by doctors and nurses while treating patients to keep the operating rooms sterile and preventing germs from the mouth and nose of a wearer from contaminating a patient during surgery. These are loose-fitting face masks that cover your nose, mouth, and chin. Disposable face masks protect from large particle droplets of bodily fluids originated when a person sneezes or coughs. These large droplets can carry infectious viruses and can lead to the spread of an infection. As the name suggests, these masks are a kind of use and throw medical device, which is disposed of after the use in surgery. Disposable face masks are mostly flat and rectangular in shape with folds. They have a metal strip on top which can be formed to your nose and elastic bands to hold the mask in place by looping around your ears. These masks are made with non-woven fabric, which has better filtration and air permeability. P
